    @Chris17psi Tough to say about 1/4 mile times, best guess would be a 14.7 or somewhere around there. Low-end torque starts to build over 2000 and builds nicely at 4000. Uncertain of torque figures, but the car came with 156 lbs-ft stock, so it would be a little more with the mods. IM = Intake Manifold. As for future mods, the car has been sold for something a bit quicker :)

    @craigerzgt (...continued)I can easily start from 2nd gear at stop signs. Granted, the gears are spaced out more because it's a 6 spd, but also the torque that QR25 makes is impressive in my book. Also- I think I misunderstood the descipt. for you having the KLZE. What does the "IM" stand for after the KLZE? Any cams in the near-future?...that high rpm sounds REAL good on my end--must sound 100 percent better in real-life.

    @craigerzgt i know EVERYONE is asking you stuff, so I'll just get in line...what kind of quarter mile times do you (or think you) run? High 14's? Mid or Low 14's? And how's the low-end torque in your opinion? I've got an '04 Spec V, and compared to ALOT of other cars in IT'S category, with most of it's torque coming on from a little after idle(around 1800rpm) it's almost like having a small V8. What are the number's for that KLZE?-I know HP is like 200, but what's the torque?

    @SailorboyBlakeness Yep, the only change is the headers themselves. Any perceived difference in power would largely be in your head, as the power gains to the long tubes over the Hotshots is maybe 3-5 horsepower. Your main difference is going to be sound which is likely what the choice should be judged on, unless you're wanting to go for ultimate maximum horsepower. Really, the power difference would only appear on paper, not on the butt dyno.

    craigerzgt, The only change between your Pacesetter and Hotshot videos was the headers themselves? If so, you just made my day. The Hotshots sound more even and don't set my teeth on edge like the Pacesetters do. I know the pacesetters are supposed to offer the best gains from a performance standpoint, but the benefits are a bit higher up in the powerband. How do the Hotshots compare to the Pacesetters between 2 and 5k RPMs? Thanks for posting this.

    @RoccooD It may be a combination of the VRIS intake system and the way the exhaust primaries are shaped, and how they lead into the 2-1 collector under the car. Listen to the Pacesetter clip I have, and that's the difference between equal-length shorties vs uneven long tubes. I'm not familiar with how Ford routed the exhaust on the Contour/Mystique/Cougar platform.

    WHAT IS THE REASON OF THIS VERY NICE MAZDA ENGINE SOUND? Maybe the intake system? For example, the Ford Duratec V6 sound is special too, but it hasn't such a beautiful voice like this. I'm waiting for the answer!

    @Davesdefault121 Probetalk would probably have more accurate numbers, but I think the intake mani will give you about 10 hp, and the throttle body somewhere around 3-5. Remember, you can't add the power gains and get your number that way. The main effects of the intake are the mid-to-high power gains, and the throttle body is for throttle sharpness.

    @1997FordProbeGT I can't remember since it's been a while, but I imagine I shifted at redline for all shifts, or the later shifts might have occurred 500rpm before redline.

    @icashADDICT Nope, not at all. There's a slight increase in vibration at idle in the car, but it's not really noticeable unless you're trying to concentrate on it. This V6 is inherently smooth, so adding solid poly mounts doesn't change much. That said, the driver-side mirror does vibrate a bit as a result, which is the biggest difference but not something to be concerned about.

    I had a 98 cobra,it was stock just had exhaust and was lowered. I loved the car but yes it so needs the blower...

    @Mr450 depends on the mod. Best performance improvements were the headers, catback, and intake manifold. ECU chip made the revband smoother for the IM, and the throttle body and shifter both made for more crisp driving dynamics. Suspension was definitely firmer and helps for autocross at the expense of daily ride comfort.

    @bigmax88 At the top of the strut, there should be a red valve that turns, and has white markings at one end. These markings are like an arrow that is to point at a specifiied number of the range of numbers (1-5) that surrounds the spinning valve. To soften the ride, go to a lower number.

    cai 50, flywheel 200, clutch 500, testpipe 75, borla 800, shifter 100, headers 400, mounts 250, IM 250, tokicos 800, eprom 75 (200 with separate ecu), and tb 200. So that's about $3825 thereabouts.

    Read the full comments list for the pricing, I'm pretty sure I've entered it in before, and it could have been done cheaper if I wanted to buy some things used if I was on a budget. As for how long, most of it was done over a 3 year period I believe.

    Yeah I still have the KLDE. Horsepower-wise, not quite sure, maybe 190-200 crank horsepower, maybe 155-160 horsepower at the wheels. Something along those lines.
